No one told me it was such a pig of a job to replace :confused1: i've had to remove the fly wheel and coil pack out of the way and now i'm fighting with the rubber grommet which don't wanna come out !

Tie some small string or wire to the end of it. Then the new wire to the string, then pull the whole lot through. Easy. Don't worry about the rubber gromits.

so i shud just lose the grommets and make it easier, praise be !! i was staring at it thinking i'd hafta split the crank cases:w00t:

Well generally no. I pull the wires through and not had one disappear on me yet.

I take it the HT lead 'unscrews' from the coil like some car/motor bike ones do ? This way i'll have more space to get the short circuit lead thru the grommets !

well i didn't wait to see Spud's reply above and i tried to unscrew the HT lead from the coil....NO GO, so i removed it from the plug cap end and managed to get it back together ok.

It goes unscrew, done this many times, latest one this weekend! :thumbup:

tanks everyone, I fitted 3 new AV wubbers, short circuit lead, ground wire and a new spark plug, and some chain brake bits. I Learned alot about my saw over the weekend ! reagrds, Wick. PS how do i 'donate' to the site as it's saved me alot on repairs ?
