Chipper bearing failed yesterday

I new the fins where bad when I brought the machine

So brought belts fins bearing etc to rebuild it

The Q I want to no is would u use some sort of thread seal on the 6bolts that hold the fins

Reason why I ask 4 of the 6 bolts rung of and I think they used thead lock or loctite

And any over pointer to the rebuild would be great

Cheers martin

Yea they want loctite thread lock on them but before you lock em in I'm sure the flywheel will need balancing with thin washers on these bolts, I was told by an entec dealer years back that if the flywheel is balanced perfectly you could stand a 50p on its end on top of the machine while it's running flat out, never tried it though :)

Im sure you dont loctite the fan bolts I believe you only lightly oil them, it has been sometime since I done the training course with Timberwolf, I would definately give Timberwolf a call, speak to Barry or Clive.

Kev are Orange plant going to continue being timberwolf dealers and stockists or have they ditched the wolf? And just doing greenmech from now?

When we did ours we balanced the flywheel by adding washers to the bolts that hold the fins on. Make sure the flywheel is scrupulously clean before you fit the fins as little lumps of crud can crack the fins as you torque them up.

Scott the only difference within Orange Plant is the selling of New Machinery, We will still sell used Timberwolfs and all the servicing and parts will remain the same.

Hope this clears things up for you mate.
