A couple of people have asked about a smallish crane on a 1928, we haven't decided against it but if it was 2,500+kgs and, say, £50k, how many can I put in my sales forecast? That is the basic question...building them is the easy part of the job!

Make one and all the utilities guys will want one..... £50k sounds rather allot..

What is a 1928 without the crane?

much cheaper and almost as handy would be a kinda a-frame type boom thing with a hydraulic winch so you could winch big stuff and bundles and drop them right in the feed tray , mounted on a sub frame with blade/ground anchor. could make a decent sized tracked chipper into an easily fed, assisted felling and extraction machine... maybe
