I'm fortunate enough at the moment to be in a position to invest. Obviously the first thing that comes to my head is to buy a house to let but am looking at the option of buying a small woodland say 5 acres or so. Is this something that would one day make me a return or am I just dreaming.

All opinions gratefully received and appreciated.

Thanks

I've thought about it lots of times, but I've never worked out how to make enough money out of a small woodland to justify the cost of buying it in the first place.

i bought 6 acre of woodland provided me with a yard some were to live , allotment , firewood n some were to walk dogs .

How much does a six acre woodland cost?

Depends on location I suppose.

You are under no pressure to answer that btw👍

My neck of the woods, excuse the pun. 6 acre would set you back around 40k

Sounds very reasonable, depending on permissions of use.

Do you mean by " bit of help" grant assistance for fencing and replanting?
