Work positioning harness

Rope tied for DdRT with a bowline, blakes hitch and figure 8 stopper knot.

Adjustable lanyard

Carabiners

 

Even more basic you could drop the lanyard and just use the other end of your rope in the same manner as you describe for the first end couldn't you? Then all you'd need would be harness, rope and 2 krabs. Granted it would be a pain to use with all the tying and untying for changeovers.

Petzl Sequoia Harness New version

Yale XTC Fire 37m climbing rope

Yale XTC+ 1.5m Split Tail rope

Stein Cambium Saver Steel Rings

Harkie Orange Karabiner

Gustharts Adjustable Lanyard Kit

 

Hope that helps and any comments,questions appreciated :thumbup1: I'd say that is pretty basic.

 

PPE is a Petzl Vertex Vent Helmet and Oregon Waipoua type c trousers and boots. And a personal First aid kit, whistle and knife.

Sorry. I didn't mean to step out of line. When the OP asked what was the most basic climbing kit, I was genuinely trying to come up with a the most basic system I could think of, as I thought that was what they meant. I wasn't trying to take the pee. :blushing:
