Cheers for the good wishes! Its a case of "should have tied that knot a bit tighter", the surgeon says I should be back to work in 6 weeks and climbing in 10 weeks, and as i can feel the muscles twinging i'm guessing thats a good sign! Well I suppose it gives me time to catch up on all those things you never quite get round to doing normally!

Dave.

Its funny my ankle broke by just falling backwards, just shows how carful you have to be! The surgeon reckons i'll be back on ground work in 6 weeks, (well 5 now 1 week has almost gone), and i'm hopeful once the ligements and bones have healed i'll be back to full health! Drinking milk is a good idea, used to have a pint a day when i was a wee lad, thought that might have reduced to risk of this sort of thing, obviously not! I'm taking glucosamine (not sure on spelling), thats supposed to help joints and ligements i think!

Did all but te centre ligaments in my ankle when i was about 18 and had a cast put on it and minimal physio. It still gets sore now(i'm 35). I have physio on my spine most weeks, and can only say that if i had had physio on my ankle i reckon it would be a load better now. Get well soon mate, and dont skimp on the physio excercises. Good luck mate.
