Grinder wear and tear...

So, our HB20 is a late 2010 model and has seen some serious use during the last 3 years.

Recently it has started to vibrate when revving down.

It was hard to see what was causing it, the bearings are greased and smooth, the belts tight and pulleys too.

So in a rare slack period for stumps, I took the head off and found that the cutter shaft appears to have been turning on the bearing shell or at least that is what I think has happened .:blushing:

Strange thing is that the bearing shell shows no wear at all...:confused1:

I'm a bit lost as to the cause but it has meant a new cutter shaft.

TBH, the machine could have gone on for ages but I knew there was something going on and I can't have any surprises when grinding now can I?
