Was talking to Nod at Capel, he would be keen to get a course together if there was a confirmed group of about 8.

I've got two for definate, am keen to hear if any one else is interested.

I am thinking of hosting it down in london.

Pm me if interested.

Sounds good, it depends the price and how many days i would need to get a flight down if it was in London, would be ideal if got one closer to home.

Wonder if the workshop would qualify for isa ceu's? as i need some.

cheers for the interest though guys, high scale seen your splices on another thread they look great, how did you learn?

Like you I was taught to splice three strand at college, so the interest was installed from the start.

My recent splices? I just followed the instructions from various rope manufactures websites, but I have never been good at learning from text and really, if you want to splice you need to learn from someone who has been doing it for a while, they know the tricks to make it a little easier.

Mind you, I think Jamie taught himself, he seems to manage.

yep had a go last night on a old section of 12 strand and followed the instructions from a web site, was very difficult and frustrating my hands are still sore!! i was finding it difficult to follow the text instructions, i will continue until a workshop comes along or i loss the plot. High scale the thread i was on about was the 16 strand splice you done it looked excellent. cheers for all the advice.
