Thanks guy's,really useful info, for a new 63yr old boy much appreciated.!!!

I climbed back in the cab of a valmet forwarder today, didn't fancy spending a day back there and I'm a bit younger than you.

Anyway another lesson I learned early on is if loading shortwood load both bunks. The danger in only loading the front bunk of my botex was that on a downhill turn the weight transfer was enough to lift the opposite side bogey and tip the trailer.

You will need a 22mm spanner to do up the grapple hoses when you knock them loose. You may need two.

Oh and a 3/8 BSP female female hose about 1m long will also be very helpful if you spend any time on it.

Best with correct spanners, their pretty tight to get into.

Have a quick check of the oil level on upright, their should be a level, I think it's right at the front. Boom it full out with the legs down before leaving the yard to make sure it's not juddery!
