Sap removal.Help!

Hi evryone. Do any of you know of a product or substance that may be suitable to use as/with blade lube on a bandsaw. Usually water is all that is needed, in varying amounts dependant on timber being milled, but was milling a piece of scots pine yesterdy and it was so resinous that the blade was becoming coated in no time and the teeth clogged and blunted.:scared1:I have seen products in aerosols but never paid much attention to them due to the quantity i would require. Any ideas? Ta.

we used to use red deisel when cutting pit props on an old push bench ,but that was many yrs ago probaly get hung for it now:scared1:

Yeah a few have suggested that, but aside from the reasons you said, does it not stain the timber if pale?

Petrol or cellulose paint thinners will do the trick in no time

Yeah but the stuff has to be running onto the blade when its cutting...

Aaah right mr muscle power resin clean would do the trick me thinks

 

Dunno pine sap is fairly sticky I think you will need something fairly strong mate.

Use red or red mixed with car wax polish.

 

Ohn & if it does stain wont that get removed when you plane it?

Nice one. Its got to be cheaper than anything with stihl or oregon etc written on it!
