theoretically... but ive never seen one, only .050 or .063.

much easier to run all 3/8 chain in .063 gauge, as any oregon dealer should be able to sort you .063 husky mount.

i run .063 3/8 oregon skip chisel on any bars 20"<

Hadn't thought of going up on the husky gauge to .063 all round.

Take it you import you skip chain from America?

Does such a thing exist? Do Oregon or Sugi make a bar with a STIHL mount but in .058 gauge?

Means i only have to get the one role of chain then.

Just done it the other way round - got an .063 bar for the 372XP so it'll run the same chain as the big Stihls. Importing an Oregon Powermatch from USA through Amazon.com and it's cheap:thumbup1:.

What size bar are you after and for what saw?

Regards,

Steve.

some dealers refuse to believe .063 husky bars exist... if so just ask for a husky .404 sprocket nose bar with a 3/8s tip

This is the one i went for [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Oregon-243RNDD009-Gauge-Pitch-Power/dp/B0044U4USK]Amazon.com: Oregon 243RNDD009 .063" Gauge 3/8" Pitch 24" Power Match Bar: Patio, Lawn & Garden[/ame]

It's harder than you think to get hold of these bars in that if I went to order off oregon here in the UK - it will show as an invalid number... yet the bars are available in the US.... oregon don't want to supply anything here that will only have a limited demand.

Ref Sugi - it's not a problem getting the bars in either a Husky mount running .063 or the other way round.. the trouble is matching demand and supply. Each and every bar size, mount and type (laminated, laminated light, solid pro, light type pro) has to be order in the 30s... ie x30 of every variation!

It may be in the future I can get some spacers (actually organising now) so that you can put a Stihl bar onto a Husky saw and ok you may have to drill another oiler hole...

The whole .058 and .063 guage for 60cc+ causes so many problems ref stock... but can't see it changing...
