ID on mystery tree

Hey Guys, Can anyone ID this tree for me.

 

The leaves on it are quiet similar to hawthorn leaves.

Norway maple.

Cheer Graham, does look very similar to Norway maple pics on the internet. One of the guys that was sawing it said the wood was very heavy and burnt like oak on the fire. Don't know whether that ties in with Norway Maple or not.
