Petty yard theft, camera recommendations please.

Some of my logs have grown legs in the night (could have been day) and are disappearing in small quantities from here and there. I'm sure i know who it is, just need the proof so it's camera time.

 

Was looking at the Bushnell wildlife ones, but it seems a lot cheaper to run a mains unit as i have access to electricity (but no phone line). I'd need battery backup as the electric could be turned off. Need to record onto sd card/ dvd etc.

 

So does anyone have experience of any particular systems, by PM if you'd prefer not to discuss security on open forum

Bushnell ones are dam good! I used to have one, until it got nicked. You can almost leave them for a year without having to change any batteries and it pops any clips straight on to a SD card. Quality item and worth the $

Bushnell wildlife cameras. They pick up using infra red too so work at night. I also use alarm mines, fires a blank shotgun cartridge,they also provide amusement!

I gather folk, shooters normally, with night vision gear can find the infrared cameras at night.

The Spypoint tiny W has a remote storage facilaty, which can store images from several cameras.

Would probably make an unwelcome surprise for camera thieves as it gets a nice close up of them nicking your camera
