I'm looking for a manual pole pruner/lopper, i've seen the wolfe system, which i think goes up to 4metres, are there any others out there ?.

Regards,

these are good.

I have one and they are very good but for branches at the upper end of their capacity I find a fishing butt plate handy to protect my aging stomach muscles as it does dig in a bit.

The wolf one is also excellent, the one with the adjustable head angle is best and will also take a saw blade

Thanks for the advice. I have a couple already, one which is very old & operates via metal rod not rope, & a modern system by gardena, but i wanted the longer reach, i've seen the wolfe one for £65.

Yesterday i saw a team working in Grantham & they were using a huge one, that was grey in colour, i was driving so was unable to stop & ask what make it was.

I have used the same wolfe garten pole & pruning head around 8 years, they have been run over by a 20 ton lorry at 40 mph (long story) & still work pretty well. Very good investment, they have earn't their money hundreds of times over.
