I haven't had any probs with it at all, had it a few years, but haven't used it much as a don't get many bit take downs, although ill be using it next week.

You will also need to buy a small sling and smaller pulley for a craining point and some of the thin tape slings are handy for attaching multiput branches to be cut.:icon14:

A couple of slings say 1.2m, and a loopie for attaching pulley in the tree (not essential)

A light steel swing cheek pulley for redirect.

But i've never had to buy my own kit, I only use the companies I work for, which is good as I get to use a variety.

That kit looks solid and should do most jobs, just some slings and another swing cheek as a redirect for more versatility.

I'd still shop around,

that was the gear i first learnt on. everything was alright. i remember the rope would twist alot. and i found the capstan a bit awkward. i prefer the one where you have to stick a bight in the rope through a metal eye (forgotten it's name, portawrap maybe).

otherwise good gear

sounds like a buckingham one to me i have 1 like in kit pic and used twice then used the buckingham one and now converted
