Advice for a newbie....

Hi everyone,

I know its not exactly arboriculture but I'm just getting kitted out to become a cutter in the forests of Argyll (mainly sitca and larch plantations) and was wondering if anyone with experience of this work might be able to give me some advice on the best chainsaws to buy. I'll need two, one larger for felling and a smaller one for brashing. Undecided as to whether I'm going Stihl or Husqvarna at the moment so suggestions for either would be welcome. Any advice on other kit requirements, insurance etc. wouldn't go wrong either...

Cheers,

Will
