hi guys, i have prob posted this in the wrong forum but here goes anyway. i need to post a saw and wondered who was the best value for money "carrier"???? who do you guys use??

Get an account with Interlink Express - sent many a parcel and my vote goes to them. Parcelforce on the other hand; fine until one of their staff nicks your order of saws! Long story!

 

You say value for money so I've answered accordingly i.e not "who's the cheapest". Money is what you pay but value is what you get. My Hermes are dirt cheap but you don't get the item!

I sent a saw via Yodel the other day. I didn't organize or pay for it,, the person buying the saw did, but it seemed like good service to me.

The company I last worked for sent about 30-100 consignments daily, of the couriers they used:

 

Lynx - avoid

TNT - not bad

UPS - the dearest but excellent

 

Ive personally used Parcel Force who are OK & TNT again OK & heard Yodel are dire.

I was reading on here some courier companies have chainsaws on the "prohibited" list, I know if you dont tell them.... I just sent a saw via Ipostparcels, easy web site, make sure printer is connected to print the label, saves you £1.50, size of box does not exceed 43cm and weigh under 10kilos cost me £8.99

I have used Ipostparcels - Chainsaws are not on their prohibitive list and they have an easy to use tariff system based on size and weight!
