My mate spent ages debating one or two pins with the bloke in the trailer shop before buying 1 with 2 as apparently they rattle less!:001_rolleyes: over thinking I think! My trucks have all had 1 pin, no problems.

I thought the DB single pin one was only rated at 3 tonne whereas the two pin I have is 3.5.

Got a dixon bates on our L200 4 seater. The only downside we found with the single pin design is it constantly clonked over rough roads. We swapped it for the two pin plate after 3 months and didn't look back. One thing to look for is locking pins as we had some theiving bugger in a local dog walking spot nick ours off our 110. We only had it for 2 weeks then.

It's going on a swb Shogun, Bosal towing bracket with two or four bolt fitting.

Seems like any of the coaxial stuff is limited to 1.5t on the ball no matter what the load rating of the pin, which is a pity as that would be the handiest way of doing it, regulations presumably!

Looks like a visit to a couple of the local motor factors will be in order to sort it out.
