Fungi I.D. Please

Could anyone id these brackets for me please. I've not come across these before & cannot glean any info from my books or tinternet. They are located at the base of an Oak set in 12 acres of native species woodland & the only tree which appears to have them. Thanks.

Appear to me Ganoderma lucidum. Close match is G resinaceum however that's annual where lucidum is perennial. Causes white rot

Rained off again, can't clean chainsaws etc anymore they already look spanking, all kit and quotes done so thought have a go at these. Agree with rob but the GANODERMA LUCIDUM is rare in the uk. It could be same species but RESINACEUM. Could also be PFEIFFERI same family.

You can see annual growth rings on these brackets, they seem to be perennial.

You need have looked no further than Arbtalk's fungi directory

I'm not saying it's G. pfeifferi. It may well be lucidum. That's on the directory too.

My bad! Thought that that was a way of differentiating. Looking at lucidum I now realise I'm not right as it tends to have a pronounced stalk.

That's why I had 3 guess's thought one was bound to be right if I was that good I would be in a class room teaching about it and not still working my butt of still cutting and climbing.
