Meindl Airstream boot size on small side?

I had a pair of Meindl Airstream boots delivered today and they look superb - tried them on and found them much too tight (toes stubbing at the front).... unfortunately I've had to send them back to try the next size up.

Bit of a pain as I couldnt find anyone stocking them near me (to try them on before buying) & Royal Mail is a rip off!....@£12.95 to send them back.

I'm normally Euro 41 but having to exchange them for a Euro 42.

Has anyone else found the Meindl Airstream sizes on the small side?

cheers, steve

Yes. This was brought up 2 or 3 yrs ago. Can't remember if I started the thread or contributed. I use Meindl 'gamekeeper' boots....mebs called Antarktis? And presumed chainsaw boots would fit similar. WRONG........had to send my airstreams back and get a size bigger to my normal Meindls. Annoying......but ace boots!

So it appears 2 or 3 years have lapsed and the same problem still occurs. Should send this thread to Meindl technical dept.

The case for return postage will be argued if they say size 9 or 43 and they don't fit then there not size 9 or 43. Simple!

In reality, i believe you'll find the size 43 airstreams, are a size 42 in the real world. Lets wait n see!....

Mine are half a size down from normal and fit perfect, although to tight to double sock so got thin thermal ones for winter. They are a cold boot but so long as you run round a bit at the start of the day they're fine.

Think it must be a Meindl thing. I recently got a pair of 'Waldaufer/Woodwalkers' and while being comfy, they are snug to say the least. I'll never be able to wear a thick pair of socks in them. So come a cold winter, I may have to return to wellies.
