Tx direct is for fabric I wouldnt use that on leather. Nikwax aqueous wax is the way to go on leather boots. Might spoil the look of the suede tho if they are new. But if new shouldnt need proofing.

Ah okay cheers Wardy :thumbup1:

The airstreams aren't smooth leather, more of a suede finish. Dya think this stuff would work okay?....

My exchanged Meindl Airstreams arrived today - here's a recap:

- the first pair of Airstreams I ordered (at a size 41) were far too tight (with my toes curled up at the front).... in other shoe & boot manufacturers a size 41 usually fits me perfectly. I sent the boots back at a Royal Mail postage cost of £12.95 (rip off).

- The second pair of Airstreams (at a size 42) fit perfectly and they are superb. Yay!!

Motto of this story: mail order the boots only if you have no local stockist.... measure your feet, and order one size larger

Hope this info helps somebody....

Cheers - glad it helped.... info above in case anybody missed it.

I found the meindl dovre boots come up small as well.

Can't complain about meindl, my mates daughter wanted a pair of the high leg dovre, which they dont do in in ladies size, a phone call by the game and country rep to meindl, 6 months later a pair specially made for her arrived from meindl:thumbup1: Thought i would have a laugh and gaffer taped some pebbles into the toe:lol:
