I'm looking at getting the Alaskan mill after Xmas, to put on my 090. Pretty much i the same boat as you on this, be interesting to see what you get later on. Good price on the 088, they were £817 sans bar at the show last year.

Big A, what size mill are you thinking of getting, I've borrowed the logosol big mill pro. My mate has brought another 880 and on about getting a double ended bar to fit them both on.

Thinking of getting the 36" bar set-up at the mo, though I can go as big as I like with the behemoth I have to run it, but from the practical point of view I think I'll stick to 36".

my mates old man had a double ended 088 for milling, he had loads of trouble with it. i think it was something to do with 1 not picking up fuel cos of being on its side and siezing up? would that make sense?

All I know is, get the saw that blows the exhaust into the other users face :D

I think the logosol is slightly better (more complex / expensive) because it holds the saw in a clamp / rails...?

Hmmm dont know about that, saws should run ok at almost any angle these days, perhaps he's tried tweaking it by ear, maybe the dust getting on the filter is clogging it up? Hard to say, but these are things I got to learn about, which is the main reason I bought a separate saw for milling/showing off, coz I dont want to mess up the 066.
