Mini lifting arm/hiab

Cranes on linkages are ok for directly behind the tractor, but off to the side the legs just lift off the ground. Even if you stiffen up the linkage it will happen.

I made 1 for behind my Mog, the foot plate was over a ton in weight, the arms on a Mog have down pressure and even then, it just tipped and that was with 250kg out to the side.

 

Mr Blair is spot on.

 

Anything on the 3pl tends to be a bit "loose" if you ask it to reach sideways.

 

Side arm flails need side reach, they are demountable but most are mounted to the axle which gives them a lot more stability.
