Calories ????

I'm 4000 to 5000 kcal a day usually. Only 2500 kcal so far today, though I haven't done that much. I have a high base metabolic rate (results in excessive heat production when physically active) and I'm tall and relatively heavy (6ft 8" and 100kg).

 

I'd say you'd need more than 2600kcal, but everyone is different.

How do you know? have you done tests?

 

Its funny how lots of fat people claim its down to "slow metabolism", but test have shown the fat actually have the fastest metabolisms.

Forget guidelines and all that rubbish....if you are putting on weight and you feel it's a problem, do more to burn it off or cut down on eating, and vice versa.

 

One thing I do believe though is that a lot of overweight/ fat people are actually malnourished. They eat poor quality food, and their body is telling them to eat more, as in 'I need more nutrients/minerals/vitamins......' Etc etc. and before you start, I'm too heavy as well, but I eat good quality food...........................

I actually agree with you about the about the guidelines, just wish I had a bit more go at the w/end

Quite healthy really,at work; sandwiches fruit oat bars choc bars crisps.. Ok it went down hill towards the end a bit. Porridge for breky roast dinners Italian Indian evening meals etc....

Making your own indian? Indian takeaway is lush, but full of grease. As for italian, horrible bloaty stuff!
