My friend has one, I think you have the same Hitachi as me, and the dewalt is a far better tool.

I think the only con would be that they use a lot more battery power so you would need an in car charger or something for fences.

When mine bites the dust I think I'll treat myself to one, but then I don't use a first fix nailer that often.

If you're working domestic properties, consider an air nailer? I run both a 50mm brad nailer and a 90mm framing nailer off a 6l compressor with a couple of extension hoses. Can't imagine having to pay for gas or batteries, it's just so simple. Plus for timberlocks etc I just run the 1/2" impact driver- two or three times quicker than my Makita 18v impact driver, and no batteries to run flat.

 

The other major upside is that air tools are very cheap compared to gas or battery. Check this thread:
