hi their i burn sweet chestnut. oak and we have great results it hold the heat in longer and the kiln keeps very hot ; dot have to load oven so often , but changing the subject i presume you all are b,s,l registered .

Do you kiln dry a few crates in each batch like most others and do you still dry a Batch in 5-6 days - 40 ft container? Thanks

I expect you oven dry representative log samples which is why you quote 5 - 6 days, very realistic as I assume you have approx. 150mm insulation.

 

 

 

 

 

No I just split sample logs and test with a moisture metre like most normal people...

I don't have time to oven dry log samples, I wouldn't have enough time to deliver all of my kiln dried firewood orders. Although it's nice just having a container load of imported kiln dried firewood turn up and another one arriving in 2 weeks. Takes the pressure off a bit.... Il turn the oven on
