No husqvarna 365 is an xp. The xt is the new model which stands for x torq which it will say on the starter pulley case likewise it would say special. Have you a picture of said saw or as nfg says a link?

Husqvarna stopped making the original plain 365 in about 2003 where it was superseeded by the special til around 2010 when the x-torq model was brought out. If it just says 365 I would walk away as something isn't right and sounds like a copy.

Hi

I would ask for the serial number, I think the first digits are the year made but Im sure a fair few know how to read the serial no code.

Is it a private sale or dealer? If its private be extra careful, as there are Chinese copies around.

If its an e-bay link post here so it can be checked

N

Yup bang on. The serial number will start with the year of build. For example S/n 07 36565 which the first 2 is year (2007) and the next 2 the week of that year (36) and the 565 would be the 565th saw of week 36 in 2007 if that makes sense.

You left out a couple of zeros between "36" and "565" - there will be five digits after the "week" ones....

Apart from that, the number system has been changed several times through the years, but all 365 Specials should have the system described here....

The lass is not quite up to speed.

It is deffo a 365 not the special version.

She says it must be a 2013 as it is new.

I told her it may be old stock and could she check

If it is new, it would say xt on it or x-torq.
