Tipper advice

I have a ford ranger, and have been contemplating turning it into a tipper as I could do it myself but apparently you need an engineers report for insurance reasons, would it be easier to pay a body specialist to fabricate- just wondering how everyone has gone about sorting there's. Cheers

Some will ask for a report, most wont. I paid £120 for a report on a Discovery that I stretched and fitted a tipper to. No big drama

what about a loadhandler instead think they cost around £150 and designed for pickups from reviews i have seen everybody seems very happy with them.

Afternoon, I've not gone for the pro-tipper idea as my pickup bed is not that good anymore it needs replacing but cab is mint. Thanks treequip where did you get report done as I've trawled the internet to no avail.

I just googled engineers report and found someone local. See if you need one first, I only needed one because I changed the wheelbase and bodywork.

I think you'll find that accident/bodywork repair centers can do this for you. Look up your local one and ask the question.

Afternoon,i converted a land rover 110 into a tipper,and my insurance company asked for a report because they said I had changed the body,but the company that fitted the body did a report for me so it was all ok,

NFu will only insure a tipper if it was fitted by manufacturer or proper body builder. Boulter tippers In Tadley did ours came with a serial no as well.

Gonna have to call BS on that, my "slightly modified" Discovery is a tipper that I built myself and NFU insure that.
