Probably a silly question being a p10!! I were thinking about getting one for my kubota U10. Ive got a borer for it but didnt know if it would struggle!!

Not that stupid actually as there is an 150kg option for these I believe (or there was when we got ours!)

If you want to see one drop us a line as we are not that far apart.

When i spoke to someone at protech the guy said they do a 60, 100 & 120kg i think. How much will the kanga lift?

You wouldn't want more than 100kg on the knocker at full height and any slope it's a hairy moment when you step off to take the hammer release pin out.

I wanted 120 and taller mast they didn't do it when I ordered 2 years ago.

I used to have a P10 with a 100kg weight on a takeuchi 1.6 tonner. To be honest, it was pretty unstable on anything other than flat ground- definiatly wouldn't want it on anything smaller than that.

The U10 weighs 1150kg + operator so the 60kg would be a better option. Not as quick but beats doing it by hand!!

Just looked at the specs for your u10. A pro tech p10 with 60kg will weigh around 150kg. Your digger will carry it, but I think it will be pretty unstable. Depends on your ground conditions, if your using it in flat fields/gardens it will probably be OK if your carefull, but if you have to use it over slopes or even undulating ground, you'll have to be very carefull it doesn't try and tip you when extending the boom.

There are vibrating knockers which may weigh a bit less. But having never used one myself I'm not sure of their capacities.

weve got a p10 on the kanga. would love something bigger, but then into a whole other load of issues (bigger tractor, transport etc etc)

That was our concern as well. With the Alpine and rammer we're pretty much on the limit for our trailer. Main thing was getting the tractor/rammer to different sites behind the Defender. In hindsight we wish we've gone for the side sift but there were concerns about stability.

Whats you views on the Kanga? Saw one at the Saltex show this year and was impressed - we're got a cattle coral to build soon so 25 1m deep holes to dig. Hand dug last year ...took bloody ages!!

Not uploaded a photo before but if it works here's our set up....
