What insurance

I have this small (but getting bigger) business and aside from public liability insurance, i was wondering if i can get get an insurance that covers all my needs, and who to get it from, this is what i do....

 

General gardening (brush cutting and grass cutting).

Hedge trimming.

Tree felling (ground work)

Logging

Log splitting

Wood chipping

 

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Currently our work load involves a cleaning business, decorating and this gardening business. Pardon the pun but i want to grow the gardening side of things. I am doing the CS30/31 next month so want to start getting serious.

Trust insurance....I've used them for years for PL and machinery insurance, they specialise in Arb and Hort, personally don't think they can be beaten, only my view ....there are other insurance companies available

You will probably have to complete your CS tickets before they will insure you for related operations !

Yup I use Trust also, very good. They must see evidence of your ability to use and maintain a saw before they will insure you for tree work. So get your tickets and you'll get your insurance.

I use trust for my PL as well. Good price and never had problems They also include things others couldn't. Highly recommend them

Strange, I have never been asked for proof of any tickets ever!

rural insurance do similar cover me for all you ask for and a good price

Yep when I first took out my insurance in 2005 they wanted copies of the obligatory 4, I know they still have them because they asked for them again this year, until they found them in their system !
