Mine is built around Drupal, similar to wordpress in most ways.

It depends on what kind of site you are after but if its only simple then go with someone like 1and1? Vista print also do websites - which can be designed and then all your cards and flyers, cups and pens can be ordered to match lol - handy if its a simple site and you want the full package?

I do want something dimple but don't want to be limited like vista print is. Think I will host with 1&1 as it's cheap enough. Reason asked about amazon is because it only requires you pay for what you use. That would only backfire if I dropped a tree on a house and the daily mail featured it as news and the site went viral :P

All looks good but I'd like to say that some design / hosting companies will not allow you to have access to your files / directories at all.

You might be able to build a website easily but if needs come to change or add some piece of code to your pages you won't be able to do it.

Not to mention moving your website elsewhere...

You have to find a design / hosting company that will give you that access.

I used to use yell to build a website but I didn't have control over files directly.

I'll have a look into mrsite. I like the idea of wordpress I must admit. I've got dreamweaver by Adobe and the wife is playing at building me a site. Which I suppose anyone could then host. Can I have a wordpress blog on a pre-existing site?

On a different but related topic, how do I change my felt tip doodles into quality digital images??? :-P
