Its the highest i have ever seen the Stour. It had enough power to rip branches off trees and pull weak trees out of the banks. Will be looking at the damage on boxing day.

HI MATT not good mate at all bradford on avon near bath was under a 1ft plus of water in the town and in bath ive not seen it this high before it at the top of the bridge lets just hope the rain stop i feel very sorry for the people with out power what night for them and the chaps that are out fixing the power line or anyone who out working thanks for them we had a tree down on power lines on monday the chaps fixed it fasted thanks jon

I was out last night and have a new respect for the river Stour. Wish i had the camera out last night

Yup had another inch of rain but was dropping like a stone but its stabilized just below the banks. This is shots of a newly laid riverside path which has been destroyed thanks to the river and down to a large tree blocking the river.

sometimes lucky we live 600mtrs above and our rivers are chalk so asorb the water. but the stour does when it rain flood all in its path. how that bridge in blandford is still standing the many times i have seen the river in spate shows how good engineers they were when it was built.

sadley more on way tonight with gales again. just hope the sea is on the ebb when its raining hard so river can go out to sea.
