Log Pro - Earn £646 a week in RHI income

I am pleased to announce that we have now included two new agreement options with our Logpro kilns that enable the firewood processor to receive the RHI income from a LogPro once the minimum usage has been met.

This means that for up to 43 weeks of the year a Logpro user will be able to earn £646 a week for kiln drying their logs.

Larger log suppliers will benefit from significant revenue streams and there will be a real incentive and funding for the smaller log suppliers to grow their businesses too.

Full details can be found at LogPro - Earn RHI Income

How do you prove to the RHI people how much wood has been run through the system?

It looks wide open for exploitation to me.

The RHI income is not for the amount of wood put through the kiln it is for the amount of heat (kWH) heat generated by the boiler used in the kiln. This heat is measured by a special meter and we have remote access to the meter. I hope this helps ?

We'll go 50/50, hows that?

Mobile phone blocker and a sparky who knows what he's doing, kerching!

You can bet your bottom dollar someone somewhere is running an awesome hustle off these subsidies. It's ridiculous for them (I presume 'them' is the EU? :001_rolleyes:) to pay so much just for someone to waste wood doing what time will do naturally. As if wood wasn't already enough of an inefficient source of fuel for most users!

Crack on and milk it!

Are you calculating the money earnt after you have taken RHi for the first 250,000kwh at the same rate per kw hour?.

Following a link from your web site I ended up here,

http://www.lakesidebiomass.co.uk/files/Download/Biomass%20boilers%20for%20broilers.pdf

states at after the first 250,000 kwh the rate per kwh drops from 8.6p per kwh to 2.2p per kwh.

Cost of fueling it would come to more than that I suspect although i do appreciate that you would get dried stock out of the deal.

Yes our calcs assume that the rate is paid at 2.2p pkWH. See LogPro - Earn RHI Income for details of the calculations. The cost of fueling the kiln for a week using logs would be £350 a week ( free with waste wood) so with the RHI at £646 there is god money to be made ignoring the value added to the logs from kiln dying.
