Seems to me matty that there are not many tree men left in your village and those local to it,that hav'nt had their gear stolen,do you think it is someone very local?

I would nearly bet money on it , that lad (not sure of his name) in my village who lost two saws a couple of months ago is pretty much invisible .. I used to play next door to his as a kid and never even knew his cottage existed..

matts hidden up well with no passing traffic, ive given nigel the heads up but hes seen nothing suspicious.. im alarmed up to the hilt but im still on red alert..

sleeping bag in the shed time I recon

We got done over about a month ago 10min north of Swaffham they nicked a honda quad 500cc climbing kits lowering kits 357xp x2 346xpx2 550xp 395xp 560xp kids quad bike black and loads of other bits. They tried to nick the Unimog and they would have got it if they had pushed the clutch peddle down lol. They loaded a trailer with the kit and used the quad to tow the trailer to a small track down the rd and loaded into another tuck and dumped the trailer!

Being hidden away is not necessarily a good thing. It gives plenty of time to thieves to do what they want. Most cases are not random snatch and grab, but planned out. They are professionals, in their own right, they know when you're in and when you go to the pub, when you work locally and when you work away. They know the time of night you let the dog out, and when you get the post in. They rely on you being a creature of habit, and as such we are lazy, can't be bothered. That's when they hit. They even see it as our fault. Keep an eye on vehicles about, when I was robbed there were extra vehicles parked about "on their phones" conveniently. When I reported the plates it turned out all 3 vehicles had false plates. This was after the robbery, waiting to see when I replaced the kit. Be suspicious of everyone, and let strangers know you know they're about.
