Oh boy you're in for a treat! Empty the oil tank, remove the screw around it, pull the casing off

Undo the 3 screws holding the pump on, that'll reveal the pump diaphragm, it'll be split!

Now for the fun bit

Remove the clip and washer

Remove the ring, cylinder bearings and spring, then a washer, and then another ring, springs and bearings, pull diaphragm out, including the arm, fit a new one and remember to fit the plastic washer on! Reassembly should take about 1-3 hours as you have to fit springs, then bearings, compress them and slide the ring into place (they have a lug), washer, springs, bearings and the next ring, washer, clip, refit to saw and reinstall manual pump, refit casing and away you go  it sounds simple, but, well you'll find out!

Cheers simon! Gotta fit new carb kit and fuel line to mine now! PITA! Getting the carb off is bad enough

I don't mind doing the carbs on these. Everything is big and easy to work on - much less fiddly to get on and off than on the 026.

Oh yes, whilst it's off I'll also replace the oil pump impulse line, but the hard part is getting the carb off its mountings (and back on)
