husky 560xp best bar and chain combo 18"

Hi guys im after some advice from you knowledgable chaps, i have a husqy 560xp bought new a couple months ago iv near worn the chain out and looking for the best bar and chain combo in 18" currently running the factory 18 bar/chain, what do you reccomend? im mainly logging small felling etc but all hardwood.

I'm running .325 full chisel on a Sugihara bar . Works for me !

did you change the sprocket? How much did it set you back?

 

Did try an 8 pin which is fine on a 15" combo but found the A/T got a bit confused on an 18" . Got the Sugi bar from Rob D on here . ( chainsaw bars ) To be honest I had m,y 560 " tweeked " by petemate on here and its a complete loony ....

HI STUBBY MY MATE is ROB D bar better then a husky if so then i will one with out a bar just engine thanks and can i run 16" 3/8 as i have loads of chains thanks jon

Read a little about tha, whats involved in his tuneup? ditched the spark arrestor on mine just after a decent chain replacement now!

Yea spark screen out is a given on any saw for me . Pete is a bit cagey about what he does but a muffler mod is quite obvious as you can see the weld line where he has cut and shut it . I think he does something to the electronics as well but not sure . All I know is I don't have any hot start issues and its a bit louder with a lot more go .:biggrin:

Yea Jon I would say the Sugi bar is of higher quality than the standard Husky one . You can get a power head only and a 16" bar that is 3/8 but you will need a 3/8 power mate rim .
