  1. Thanks spud, It's had a couple of plugs out in it to test. The guy at the repair shop reckons stihl has a batch of faulty coils!!!!
  2. Hi, I have a stihl ms201t that I loaned to soap a few months ago and he told me cut out and wouldn't restart. Had it back and checked and no spark, put a new plug in and still nothing. Have been real busy with work and had no time to check suspect coil so sent in to local repair shop ( with a hole borer and hedge trimmer) been chasing the useless chimps for 4.5 weeks and finally told them to give it all back, he apparently fitted a new cool and still no spark (stop switch eye fine I checked continuity myself) he reckons stihl have a faulty batch of coils. The saw itself has literally only done about 8 hrs work of that! Any ideas? Does anyone know resistance readings to test the coil? Any help appreciated Will
