I can't believe they left the ivy stem on all the way up ??

Mind you, if they'd taken it off it would have looked like one of them carved totum poles :001_smile:

It really is a bit sad isnt it- talk about total lack of job pride. Its not like it is the hardest job in the world either. They deserve knackered saws after doing that. I cant imagine gettting in the truck and going back to the yard after leaving that abortion.

Have you got shares in some ratchet strap manufacturing company or something or is it just a fetish :001_tongue:

Too poor to own shares, however some things should just not be talked about on a public forum :001_tt1:

That is terrible. Something should be said the the company involved as the guys are obviously unaware of what they're doing. Also, they could end up doing some serious damage elsewhere. Bad bad stuff.

You are totally right Surfer, but imo, if a company sets on contractors and is stupid enough to not have a clerk of works going round, checking and signing off their work they deserve everything they get.

Councils used to do this all the time, they would come and check work at different stages, ie if you were a painter, they would come and check preperation, undercoat , and number of gloss coats.

Sadly with penny pinching, streamlining etc etc this doesn't happen anymore and cowboys are finding their way onto company lists. I'm sure we have all witnessed bad work by contractors on the so called "council approved list" which is why it's worth nothing more than the paper it's written on, as is the case with a lot of approved lists :sneaky2:
