Hi folks. Do the autotune saws have a tendency to run lean on colder weather? Did some cutting yesterday and the thing seems to be screaming louder. It was an amazing saw a few days ago but the thing seems to be in steroids now

One of two possibilities . You have an air leak or its freed up a bit ? If its a small air leak you would think the A/T would compensate for it .....

When its colder there is a greater air density compared to warm weather.

Autotune will be able to take advantage of this and give you more power but is no different to what would happen with a conventional saw and a screwdriver!

I'm not two stroke expert, but the answer may be in your question. Cold air is more dense than warm. Being auto tune it may be adding extra fuel to compensate and your getting more power. Certainly works on turbo'd cars!

Thanks for the replies. Probably is the colder air. Shouldn't have an air leak already as it's not done an awful lot of work I'm assuming. Thought the autotune would keep the saw running the same no matter what the variations in weather /temperature.

If its that new, a bit of both. Need about 10 galls before its properly run in.

10 gallons?! That's 70+ fills! You got an insert in your bore?
