I thought they were nearer £4K but maybe that was with the VAT

One of my customers has one and as he said it's a handy tool to take a stump out whilst you are on site at the last minute, and just keep it in the toolbox

Teeth are quite expensive though and he said you need to have a good clear out around the stump first as they blunt easily.

I was considering one when I was doing grinding but thought they were a lot of money for what it is.

Can the power heads be used as a saw? I know the cut of saw model can't.

 

yes you can convert the powerhead back to chain saw but you will need to purchase a few bits to do so.

 

the husky head was the better power unit to get when i got mine. better torque low down or something like that. comes with a modded exhaust for more power, very loud!

 

teeth blunt very easily, when blunt it is painfully slow.

 

only really useful if you can't get a bigger machine in or a small stump or a half rotten stump or you have quoted really high and got the job.

 

check out vids online. loads on there website. in particular look at them using it as a brush cutter! totally useless!
