biggest bar for a Husky 390xp

Anyone know of the biggest bar and chain I can comfortably run on my standard 390xp without changing the sprocket from standard?

 

And where I can get it without breaking the bank, my local dealer says its no bigger than 24" but I don't believe them!

I've got a 390xp,excellent on a 25" good on a 28" and I've got a 36" for it as well which it handles ok but only ever use it if I really have to.

What size chain do you run on the 36"?

Husky do list a 36" .404 bar available for the 390!

 

I think the .404 is a bit big though tbh otherwise its a 3/8 28" unless you buy an oregon bar.

My local dealer argued that you could not put anything bigger on it than the 24" without having to change sprocket and chain size and then it would not be recommended by Husqvarna so they could not supply the parts or fit them!!

So what chain sizes are people running when using the bigger bars? are you having to change sprocket too??
