What size winch?

I'm looking into replacing my very old pto driven tractor winch but I don't know what sort of size I should be looking at. Trouble is i have no idea what pull my current one is, it's a bit of beast though, just a bit dangerous. I've attached a photo of it if anyone thinks they might know what it is and where it came from?? And don't worry I replaced the cable before it was used.

 

I've attached some photos of the normal size of tree we are winching. Normally pulling from approx 60m distance.

HI MATE i have one that will do that job easy igland 55 5.5tons pull thanks for sale jon :thumbup:

6.5 tonne should do those trees. Although more is always better.

 

Whats the cable diameter on that winch looks about 13mm?

 

Igland, Uniforest, Krpan are all good.

 

Think it's 14mm. Someone said it could be from an Aec matador....:confused1:

 

Would a 6.5ton do the whole tree?? Couldn't ever move anything that big with the current winch, it would just drag tractor.
