never done that before was worried about damaging them

 

People say put them in a pillow case, I put all mine direct in the drum, if it can wash our lasses silk knickers without damage, it can wash my ropes without a pillowcase.

I put in a quarter of what it says you should put in and do a 30 degree wash..

 

You can tell I've used a washing machine before can't you ?

Beal sell a rope cleaner by the bottle, I have no idea what its like but I think Rich Rule has used it.

 

I'd love to know what's in it, I bet it's standard detergent.

 

With all the man made polyesters, acrylic, acetate and nylons, I think persil non bio may be safe to use on our ropes :001_tongue:

Always wash my ropes using Dean's method, coiled in an electricians braid to prevent tangling. Come out gleaming.

 

Sounds like you might need a big washing machine, though....

Wouldn't it be worth buying in one of those top loaders Rod, for business purposes that is, plus you would be able to claim some tax back on wages paid to get the wife in to operate it.:001_tongue:
