there was a survey done on the site and evidance of bats where found

as for intrest the public they seem to be intrigued so for and generating a lot of interest to surronding residents so far so good.

the client is a local housing partership and seem to be very excited in what we are doing due to it ticking boxes for enviromental issues.:001_smile:

i have 3 dead trees to take down next week, 2 beech and one scots pine. i tried to convince the customer about monoliths. he gave me a raised eyebrow look. i told him the difference in prices:ohmy:. guess what. tiiimber!!:001_smile:

thanks chap yeah some clients just don't give a damm really we seem to be convincing a few clients to take on this idea . when you sit them down and explian the outcome of the work there interested straight away. this is the first one i've done in an urban area so will be interesting to see what ecological value it brings to the area :001_smile:

Did you ring bark or poison them to prevent re-sprouting?

 

that will be phase two chap this is just an experement to see if it ticks the boxes for the third parties in the project. it might still be felled yet :thumbdown:

Cool work Sanny , I have never given much thought to Coronets and the like . Think I will give it a go next time we get to do some habitat log piles .

 

good on you mate there seems to be mixed opinions on this type of work.

but tbh why not what harm is it doing none as long as ther is a good monitoring system in place all is good :001_smile:
