Years ago we used to race an imp . The engine ( aluminum ) was originally the pump engine on a fire tender ...Bit of trivia for you . :001_smile:

 

I lad I went to school with had a rally imp, awesone little thing, he had that sideways on the Stourbridge ringroad a few times. I thing he was related to a well known lady racer with the surname Stretton! More trivia.

sadly F1 has lost its sparkle not a lot of close racing as such and the tracks they are on are nearly the same. i wonder how vettle would have got on if he was about when hunt and lauda where racing or senna,mansall the pits side is just changing tyres not fuel everything is so electronic controlled yes got to be good to race one but rather see TT or superbikes or saloon cars much more fun

yes its very clinical now - a technological boon but that doesn't make good racing - eg look how unpredictable it was in the pits a few yrs ago - its not as exciting anymore as Pete B said processional
