After going through the usual process of selecting and short listing suitable chipping machines and getting demos from the favourite three we weighed up the pros and cons and went for the Jensen A540 having previously had Greenmech, Timberwolf and Schliesing machines.

Our new chipper arrived first thing this morning and after a safety demo with all the lads it went straight out to work.

All I can say is "awesome" very happy with the performance and we put a lot of brash through today.

Big thanks go out to Matt Smith at Redwood Global - if you're looking for a new machine give Matt a call he's very proactive and will do his best to assist.

always worth going with the buttons cos those manual bars are a pain in the a**e

also we've found they jam quite a bit with bigger bits they take the last bit through the feed rollers it jams into the flywheel stalling it out, get/make a spring puller it makes life easier if this happens, get it sorted in 2 mins :thumbup1: otherwise not had to much bother , outside of operator error :sneaky2:
