definatelly worth a go! even if you use it for access, its fantastic for massive assents, saves so much energy, although i'm not really an ol git, just tryin to insure myself for the future! :lol:

I'm getting on a bit myself now (42) and i've just started using srt a few months back, sometimes I love it others not. Worth ago nothing to loose. Shame you're not closer.

i use the rope wrench with the lockjack for single rope stuff and on the right job its fantastic( there is tons of info here on arbtalk as to exact set ups.

the best thing about in imo is its so easy to change between double and single rope systems, people often seem to make out you have to have your one system and thats what you climb on the whole time, i chop n change all the time as each has pros n cons.

try n find someone local to demo it ,a lot easier to see in in the flesh so,s to speak.

good luck with it, its definatly made climbing easier for me.
