It's probably caught an infection from the bacteria leaping across from your gloves

 

Seriously though, one thing that a lot of peeps don't realise is that gloves harvest bacteria, especially when we sweat a lot in the warmer months. If you then get a thorn jab it pierces through the bacteria and nicely infects the wound.

 

Gloves should be changed regularly, especailly when they are only 70p a pair

I have always found that, gloves or no gloves, thorns often cause lasting discomfort and localised infection.

Your buying the wrong ones then, loads on the bay, you just have to filter out the rubbish.

 

Thorns are worse in winter after prolonged damp periods I think

Mine get changed regularly either by feeding the old ones through chipper or the dog chews them up!!
