Big and short legs

I am after some chainsaw trousers. I keep trying them on and just cannot find anything that fits properly. I am 38" waist, quite large legs that are only 29" long. I am currently wearing the green SIP Protection ones with the orange pockets, they are ok but its like climbing with blankets on your legs! I had about 6 inches taken off the legs when i bought them and the person who did this struggled to sew them up they were that thick.

I tried the Stihl pants, can get a fit, but the legs are mega long - so the knee protection actually is below my knees so even if i take em up i am gonna look a complete clown!

What are the sizes like in the Stretch Air? Are they durable cos i generally give my trousers a good hammering - and want em to last and not rip the crotch apart on my first climb.

What do all the other big fellas wear?

Cheers,

my mate jason(the lad who felled the redwood in the pic) is a big lad. big waist short legs, used to play rugby. he has worn stretch airs for the last 2 years, same pair. i have had mine for 2 half years as good as new apart from the zip. braces will help hold them up higher, but he complains about braces because he:001_smile: has big nips:blushing:

stretch airs all the way for me. ive got the opposit prob i got long legs

anyway the stretch airs in the standard length are a lot shorter than the stills IMO and last longer

I work with a bigger fella if you know what i mean... he got some stretch airs a while back. at first he looked very J-Lo, but once they had stretched a bit they are fine.
