New top handled chainsaw

Been looking at new top handled chainsaws and I found this deal going for a bran new Matika chainsaw normally i prefer STIHL as a brand name however this one is at a good price brand new.

 

Anyone got thoughts on the Makita DCS230T, I would like an objective review from people who have actually reviewed the chainsaw please and no STIHL or husquvana fan boys who will just slate it purely because it is Makita please. Ni disrespect to anyone was intended from this post but they do exist

I have used one for a day, its a small saw, similar size to the little echo or stihl ms150.

Not a bad little saw for light reduction work / hedge bashing, but you wont be doing take downs with it.

They seem reliable enough, have been around for a while in one form or another, that's about it really.

Have u looked at the hitachi top handle. Much the same deal really . Ok for the smaller stuff but a bit frustrating on a take down .. Nice and cheep . Had mine for a year + still going strong
